Clarisse Planchais

Native of Bretagne in France, Clarisse Planchais started singing at a young age at the Conservatorium of Nantes. In 2018, she got awarded the Price “Jeune Espoir” and the Price of “le centre français de promotion lyrique” at the International competition of the Opéra Grand Avignon. Studying at the national conservatoire of Paris, she sang in many festivals and did a residence at the Victoria Hall of Geneva in Switzerland. In 2021, she came to the Netherlands to study singing at the Prins Claus Conservatorium of Groningen with Hanneke De Wit and Paul Triepels. In 2022, she participated in the masterclass program of the International Lied Festival of Zeist. In 2023, she sang in the Talent Choir for the production of « Animal farm » from Raskatov at the Dutch National Opera and in March 2024 at the Weiner Staatsoper . In October 2023, she was Dido in “Dido and Aeneas” and Purcell with the Lutherse Bach Ensemble. Besides singing in cantatas services around Groningen and Leeuwarden, she was in November soloist in the Brahms’s requiem with the Leeuwarder Kamerkoor and also sang a recital around french baroque music with the Noordelijk barokensemble. In December, she was the “first conversa” in the opera “Suor Angelica” from Puccini with the Nootstroom.
