Stratis Steele, born in Athens, Greece is a multifaceted performer and composer. He studied classical singing at the National Conservatory of Greece, where he gratuated with honors and First Prize. His immersion in the arts extended to the G.V. Fakanas Art School, where he delved into the intricacies of musical theatre.
In 2019 he completed postgraduate studies (MA) in musical theatre at Liverpool John Moores University, focusing on composition and graduating with distinction, receiving the “Lynda La Plante Prize for Outstanding Practice.”
As a stage performer, Stratis has collaborated with esteemed institutions in Greece such as the Greek National Opera, the Greek National Theater, the Athens Concert Hall and the Greek Broadcasting Organization both as a soloist and chorister, and has performed in a multitude of classical, modern and ancient venues.
As a member of the vocal ensemble 8tetto, he has participated in a myriad of artistic endeavors ranging from concerts and operas to recordings, children’s shows and advertising events.
In the dubbing industry, Stratis has been honored to contribute as a voice over artist and musical supervisor to more than 80 projects by studios such as Disney, Pixar, DreamWorks, Mattel, Netflix and Santa Monica through the renowned Sierra Studios in Athens.
Apart from working as a private tutor and vocal instructor, he has also worked as a singing teacher at the National Conservatory of Greece.
Beyond performance, he crafts compositions for stage, short films, and feature films. His original musical, “Therapeutic,” debuted in February 2021 at the Oude Badhuis in Antwerp. Additionally, he contributes to the enchantment of children’s shows as a troupe member and composer of the theatre group Tik Tak Do where he has created music for six musico-theatrical shows.
As a music group member, sessioned singer and performer/voice over artist he has contributed to a plethora of discographies, audiobooks, video games and advertisements.
After relocating to Belgium, he expanded his artistic endeavors with Consensus Vocalis and the Nederlandse Reisopera, participating in operas and concerts across the Nehterlands while he is also in collaboration with the Savonlinna Opera Festival in Finland.
