Are you a graduate in Classical Singing from a conservatory or do you have similar experience? Are you also socially engaged? If so, come audition! To be able to sing with Consensus Vocalis, auditions are held in two rounds. In the first round, you will be evaluated based on your CV, motivation, and a video of up to 5 minutes in which you present yourself musically. If you successfully pass the first round, you will receive an invitation for the second round. This is a live audition, consisting of the following parts: 1) individual audition with a Bach aria and a song of your choice, 2) a short ensemble singing workshop, and 3) a brief theatrical workshop. The committee includes artistic director Imre Ploeg, choir leader B\u00e9ni Csillag, a singer, and a theater maker.<\/p>

Singing with Consensus Vocalis offers you a wonderful opportunity to sing at a high level in concerts and performances. We collaborate with the Nederlandse Reisopera, Phion, the orchestra of Gelderland and Overijssel, Nederlands Blazers Ensemble, Silbersee, Theater Sonnevanck, BachTwente, and conductors such as Ed Spanjaard, Jan Willem de Vriend, Jos van Veldhoven, and many others. Consensus Vocalis works both in concert and scenically with ensembles ranging from 4 to 70 singers.<\/p>

The upcoming audition day<\/strong><\/h3>

Consensus Vocalis holds auditions at least once a year, but at this time the next audition has not been scheduled yet. If you would like to register already, you can do so and we will inform you as soon as a date has been set.<\/p>

These are the Bach arias you can prepare by voice type:<\/p>

  • Soprano:\u00a0<\/b>Zerflie\u00dfe, mein Herze from the Johannes Passion – J.S. Bach<\/li>
  • Alto:\u00a0<\/b>Es ist volbracht from the Johannes Passion – J.S. Bach<\/li>

  • Bass:\u00a0<\/b>Mein teurer Heiland, la\u00df dich fragen from the Johannes Passion – J.S. Bach<\/li><\/ul>

    When filling out the form, we ask you to include the following:<\/p>

    • CV<\/strong><\/li>
    • A portrait photo<\/strong><\/li>
    • A video of up to 5 minutes in which you present yourself musically:<\/strong>
      Repertoire is free, but submit something that suits your education and background. You are free to briefly talk in addition to singing. Ensure that you are clearly visible and your whole body is in the frame. Submit your video with a YouTube or Vimeo link.<\/li><\/ul>
